Offices are ontological. Being.

Ministries are operational. Doing.

Big, big difference. Big, huge, ginormous distinction.

Distinctions. They’re everything.

Offices are not contingent upon ministries. A Pope in a coma is still the Pope.

And ministry does not bestow Office. Obviously.

The first thing we must always do? Make those distinctions. Those glaringly obvious, beat-you-over-the-head distinctions.

Resigning just a mere ministerial function (namely of the active governance of the Church), while REMAINING in the Petrine Office constitutes a canonically invalid abdication which did NOT NOT NOT vacate the See.

No vacant See, no possible conclave. Duh. Because… COMMON SENSE, AND Canon 359:

Can. 359 When the Apostolic See is vacant , the college of cardinals possesses only that power in the Church which is attributed to it in special law.

When the Apostolic See is VACANT.
