Starting Wednesday Off Right: To Them That Fear Him Edition

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Today is the Feast of the Annunciation.  Today is the beginning of our salvation….

Many people still ask what the abbreviation “ARSH” that I use before dates means.  It stands for:
Anno
Reparatae
Salutis
Humanae
“In the Year of the Reparation of Human Salvation.”

The reparation of human salvation began when The Word, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead, became flesh in the womb of the Virgin, and was consummated 33 years later.  But we begin counting years from the beginning of our salvation, today, the INCARNATION, not the Passion and Resurrection.

I’d like to point out what the Virgin herself said of God and His Mercy at the Annunciation.  She said, “And His mercy is from generation to generations, TO THEM THAT FEAR HIM.”

God’s mercy is infinite and its depths can not be plumbed.  However, because mercy is, by definition, grief at the distress of evils experienced by another, both undeserved and deserved, if a person does not find the evil they are experiencing repugnant, but rather actively wills that the evil continue, refuses to acknowledge the evil they have committed, and even luxuriate in it and demand that others NOT grieve but rather ratify and celebrate the evil, that person is completely INELIGIBLE for mercy.

To not grieve at the sin of another, but rather ignore it, ratify it, or celebrate it, is itself grave sin, the diametrical opposite of Charity – indifference.  To paint indifference as mercy is nothing less than diabolical.

If you are not sorry for your sin, if you are not ashamed, if you have no intention of trying to cease the evil, sinful activity, then God simply cannot extend His mercy to you, because He holds your free will sacred.  Sins are those behavioral choices that, for lack of a better term, break God’s Heart.  The Law is simply God, in His unfathomable love for us, telling us explicitly what we must do and not do in order to not break His Heart.  Filial Fear of the Lord is not wanting to break God’s Heart.  People who knowingly sin with no sorrow, no guilt, no shame and no intention of stopping have no filial fear of God, and may even be guilty of the worst sin there is:  Presuming upon His Mercy – that is, sinning boldly without compunction because “Christ HAS to forgive me, so I might as well do whatever I want.  If He wants to hang on the Cross and take my sins, I’ll do what I damn-well please, and then hold Him to the contract.”  This is the essence and pinnacle of psychopathy.

If you would like to read further thoughts on this, I recommend THIS OUTSTANDING PIECE from Unam Sanctam, and you might also revisit my essays, “The One About FEAR OF THE LORD” and “We Should Be Ashamed.”

I hope this helps.

Magnificat anima mea Dominum,
My soul doth magnify the Lord

et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salvatore meo,
and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior

quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae.
Because He hath regarded the humility of His handmaid

Ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes,
For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est,
For He that is mighty hath done great things to me,

et sanctum nomen eius,
and holy is His Name,

et misericordia eius a progenies et progenies
And His mercy is from generation to generations

timentibus eum.
to them that fear Him.

Fecit potentiam in brachio suo,
He hath showed might in His arm,

dispersit superbos mente cordis sui;
He hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart;

deposuit potentes de sede
He hath put down the mighty from their seat

et exaltavit humiles;
and hath exalted the humble;

esurientes implevit bonis
He hath filled the hungry with good things

et divites dimisit inanes.
and the rich He hath sent away empty.

Suscepit Israel puerum suum,
He hath received Israel His servant,

recordatus misericordiae suae,
being mindful of His mercy,

sicut locutus est ad patres nostros,
As He spoke to our fathers,

Abraham et semini eius in saecula.
to Abraham and to his seed forever.

Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto
Sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper et in seacula saeculorum. Amen.

A Letter From A Jew

1.  First, a few preliminary items before we go to the Mailbag.  Apologies for the deplorable lack of posts.  I have no excuse.  This occurred to me the other day:  scientists guesstimate that there have been something like 110 billion human beings in total throughout history.  There are approximately 7.5 billion human beings alive right now.  This means that approximately seven percent of all of the human souls that have ever existed up to this point are alive right now, and thus their salvation remains an open question.

Something like 3% of the souls who have ever lived have access to this website, and Google Translate gets better every day.

This level of potentiality, and thus the responsibility to not only act, but act rightly, has never before been bestowed on any generation.

And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence,) with fear and trembling work out your salvation. For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to accomplish, according to His good will.  Philippians 2: 11-13

Fear and trembling, indeed.  God help us.

2.  Thanks once again for the munificent support, both in terms of those proxy units of human life called “dollars”, as well as the prayers and general encouragement.  Work at the place where I clean all the things continues apace.  Floors to be swept and mopped, toilets to be scrubbed, surfaces to be dusted, trashcans to be emptied.  I got a raise last month, but am still working for well-below minimum wage, paid in cash under-the-table.  And I am grateful to get it, and grateful to have something concrete to do.  A co-worker (who has no clue who I am) is sadly a typical product of post-modern culture, seeking to get as much money for as little work as possible, complaining about every task (a function of effemininacy), and is completely dumbfounded when I firmly state that I LIKE TO WORK.  In fact, such an attitude is taken almost as a betrayal – a failure in “solidarity” on my part.  “You’re working too fast…”  It is fascinating to personally experience these dynamics again after so many years.  I have also been trying to subtly “coach”, or at least offer tips to one of the managers, who has not been in a leadership position before, namely that a good leader must be able to discern when to “ask” and when to “tell”.  Asking is a courtesy, and courtesy is a strength, but if a directive is not followed after the courtesy “asking”, a strong leader must IMMEDIATELY assert himself and TELL the employee what he must do.  Weakness under the guise of courtesy (again, an effeminate dynamic) is no virtue, and leads only to chaos and disfunction.  I’m sure we’ve all been in workplace environments in which the least-qualified underlings were running the show due to impotent, supine leadership.  But, it is largely solitary work for me.  And tremendously gratifying.

3.  I’m delighted to see that a corps of people are using my Rosary Against Modernism recording every day.  Someone told me the other day that getting people to pray the Rosary is the best thing I’ve done here.  Perhaps.  We’ll find out at the General Judgment, I reckon.

4.  Just a little teaser: there is a conspiracy afoot to start a weekly Podcast that I would be a panelist on with some other notable names from the innerwebz.  I hope it comes to fruition.

5.  Let’s go to the mailbag.  First…

Hi Ann,

I want you to know that because of your clear, logical, reasoned teaching about our Faith and why Catholicism believes what it does, I have, over the past two months:

–gone to confession twice, after 13 years away from it (having committed many, many grave sins over that time!)
–begun attending Tridentine Latin Mass (TLM) regularly
–purchased the St. Edmund Campion Missal
–purchased the Douay Rheims Bible
–realized just what a miracle and privilege it is to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (this, after having been raised Catholic!!)
–tried not to judge Novus Ordo Masses or its attendees as akin to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey. (Because I too still occasionally attend Novus Ordo, out of scheduling necessities)
–said the St. Joseph novena with you
–gone out to dinner recently on a wonderful blind date with a great guy, whom I would not have met, if I hadn’t begun attending TLM and making friends at the conservative parish where I now often go!

Your education has served me better in my faith in about three months, than years of Catholic schooling did, over the course of 16 years.

I am the same age as you; born in 1976, and feel a tremendous kinship with you, even though I realize we don’t know each other!
Believe me when I tell you, we are quite similar. Even before I discovered your blog (via Gates of Vienna), I was one of those “crazy, outspoken conspiracy theorists who liked firearms.”

So: hang in there. You are doing God’s work, and don’t ever forget it. Remember that you are touching lives and saving souls (like mine, and that also means the lives / faith that I touch, because of you) that you will never, ever know about. So take heart. Even during the seemingly dark times and wondering “is anyone listening?”, know that we are, even if you don’t see it. I pray for you regularly.

6.  And now, the letter from the JOOOOOOOOO.  No word on whether this fellow is one of the “shape-shifting lizard” variety of JOOOOO.  It’s so hard to tell, you know. </sarcasm>

My next post will be a commentary/expansion on this letter.  See if you can anticipate where I am going to go with this, and what points need to be addressed.  I promise, it will be interesting and timely.  And no punches will be pulled, as always.

Dear Ann:

Audeo scribere, I dare to write you, having watched several of your videos on youtube, read through your website, as well as through references to you on facebook and across the internet.

I’m a Jew in various stages of cultural and religious alienation from my community. I’ve been attracted to Catholicism since I was a teen, have been studying Latin for the explicit purpose of “being at home” with the Tridentine Mass, the writings of the Church Fathers, and generally imbibing the spirit of the Church. My plans to pick up Koine have not been as successful, mainly for lack of time, and I plan to pursue these in the near future. For two reasons, I have not taken the final and formal step of being baptized. The first, and probably the gravest is that I am married to a Jewish woman I love dearly, and having felt my way a bit in this direction, I realize that this will break her heart, and I cannot bring myself to do this to her. The second is the whiff of antisemitism I get from so many Christians, and which I find so difficult to ignore.

So the first reason I am writing you is to tell you that I’d listened carefully to your Boston Speech videos on youtube, and that even though your views on antisemitism in Christianity were not news to me, this was the first time I’d heard these stated as clearly and as unequivocally by a Catholic. Your words were balm to my heart, and I cannot thank you enough for having said them, and for so many different reasons:

① Antisemitic views are particularly prevalent in the Traditional Catholic camp.

② Antisemitic views are often intermixed with a particularly nasty brand of supersessionism, and with Holocaust revisionism.

③ Antisemitism, like any other form of bigotry and racism, is simply put, unchristian, as I understand Christianity, which is, by definition, universal. I could go on at this point, but I don’t want to tire you.

I too say the Rosary in Latin, and in general, I find the Rosary the most comforting prayer. I use the traditional schedule of the mysteries, and have not added the Luminous Mysteries introduced by the Late John Paul II. He seemed like a wonderful and kind Pope, and he certainly had a kind disposition towards the Jews, but I like the original schedule of the mysteries.

We live and work in {location redacted}. There is a local Catholic Church in {location redacted}, but the Priest with whom I was in touch has been reassigned, and the current one is, well, not all that religious, if you can believe that. So I would love to be in touch with a Traditional Catholic. If you have any thoughts you would care to share with me on the Rosary, on Catholicism, on the place of Latin in the Church, etc. I would be grateful to you.

Thank you, and as you guys like to say, God Bless!

M

“The King and People of Ninive Repenting”, Crispin de Passe, engraver, from the Story of Jonah, c. 1586, after the drawing by Maarten de Vos

The text around the border is Jonas 3: 6

Et pervenit verbum ad regem Ninive: et surrexit de solio suo, et abjecit vestimentum suum a se, et indutus est sacco, et sedit in cinere.

And the word came to the king of Ninive; and he rose up out of his throne, and cast away his robe from him, and was clothed with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Here is the entirety of the Epistle from Today’s Mass, Monday in Passion Week, the Third Chapter of the Book of Jonas.  I have replaced “Ninive” with “America”.  It reads like a sick joke.

And the word of the Lord came to Jonas the second time, saying: Arise, and go to America the great city: and preach in it the preaching that I bid thee. And Jonas arose, and went to America, according to the word of the Lord: now America was a great city of three days’ journey. And Jonas began to enter into the city one day’ s journey: and he cried, and said: Yet forty days, and America shall be destroyed. And the men of America believed in God: and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least.

And the word came to the President of America; and he rose up out of his throne, and cast away his robe from him, and was clothed with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published in America from the mouth of the President and of his Congressmen, saying: Let neither men nor beasts, oxen nor sheep, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water. And let men and beasts be covered with sackcloth, and cry to the Lord with all their strength, and let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the iniquity that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn, and forgive: and will turn away from his fierce anger, and we shall not perish? And God saw their works, that they were turned from their evil way: and God had mercy with regard to the evil which He had said that He would do to them, and He did it not.

What I used to do before becoming a janitor…

This is one of a handful of mini-videos I made for my Cornerstone Cattle Marketing clients several years ago.  This is one of the things I used to do for a living: teach a practical skill set, namely how to arbitrage cattle.

Cattlemen especially should appreciate this particular clip for how prescient it proved to be.  In fact, anyone who has bought FOOD recently should have some sense of the pricing dynamics which I address here.  This was recorded in January of ARSH 2012.

Yes, cattlemen, the Cornerstone Cattle Marketing 15 hour Level 1 DVD set is still available for sale, although I can no longer accept either credit cards or PayPal.  Just checks or money orders.

March ARSH 2015 Benefactor Mass Set – March 19th! And Action Item: Rosary Against Modernism

1.  The March ARSH 2015 Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for my Benefactors will be on March 19th, which is the Feast of St. Joseph!  I thought it most fitting, considering the Novena we all did together last month to St. Joseph.  He did indeed find me a new parking spot for the Van, and while more expensive in absolute terms, it is an excellent value, and much closer to my job where I Clean All the Things.  I won’t miss the commute, such as it was.

I hope all is going well for youse guys, both supporters and enemies.  I pray for you every day, specifically that you make it to heaven, because in the end, that is really all that is going to matter.  The interim details I leave to God.

2.  Many people have asked about specific courses of action.  Let me re-post my list of action items:

1.) Media strike
2.) Education system strike (or, put another way, not engaging in child abuse by sending your kids to Marxist-Sodomite indoctrination centers.)
3.) Financial market strike
4.) Tax strike (Max out withholding (if not self-employed) and then don’t file.  DO NOT file a false return.)
5.) General strike
6.) Armed counter-revolution

Failure to engage in options one through five GUARANTEES the necessity of number six.  Sadly, that is where we are going.

3.  Of course, prayer and fasting are antecedents to the six points above.  Inspired by the tremendous number of folks who joined in my St. Joseph Novena last month, I have put together a special Rosary – the Sorrowful Mysteries – in Latin, for the “Crushing of and in Reparation for the Heresy of Modernism”, which I have been saying daily for a while now.  Modernism is the “synthesis of all heresies” as Pope St. Pius X called it, and it pretty much covers everything.  Pope Francis and all of the infiltrators of the Church are Modernists.  To the bone.  Here is a brief definition from the Wikipedia page:

The final overall teaching of Modernism is that dogmata (the teachings of the Church, which its members are required to believe) can evolve over time – not only in their expression but also in their substance – rather than remaining the same in substance for all time. This postulate was what made Modernism unique in the history of heresies in the Church. Previously, a heretic (someone who believed and taught something different from what the rest of the church believed) would either claim that he was right and the rest of the Church was wrong because he had received a new revelation from God, or that he had understood the true teaching of God which had previously been understood but was later lost. Both of these scenarios almost inevitably led to an organisational separation from the Church (schism) or the offender’s being ejected from it (excommunication). Using the new idea that doctrines evolve, it was possible for the modernist to believe that both the old teachings of the Church and his new, seemingly contradictory teachings were correct — each group had its time and place. This system allows almost any type of new belief which the modernist in question might wish to introduce, and for this reason Modernism was labelled by Pope Pius X as “the synthesis of all heresies”.

I recorded it, and here it is if you think my nasal, twangy butchering of the noble Latin language will help.

And here is the audio.

How to respond to defenders of gay kiddie porn on ABC

So I tweeted yesterday the story about the basic cable channel ABC Family (nice Orwellian name there, eh?) showing 13 year old boys kissing “romantically”.  The tweet was picked up by pro-sodomite sites, and I received a plethora of tweets from poor, blind, morally degraded people attacking me as a hypocrite and a hater, blah blah blah.  Many said, “If the scene was between a boy and a girl, you wouldn’t call it porn, hypocrite!”

That is exactly correct.  Because, for example, the “first kiss” scene from “The Wonder Years” between Kevin and Winnie, who I think were also 13, is not pornographic.  In fact, here it is:

So what is the distinction?  It is so simple, and the fact that people today are incapable of seeing the distinction automatically is a testament to how far gone we are, how blind we are.

All sodomitical acts, including “romantic” kissing between two people of the same sex, ARE OBSCENE BY THEIR VERY NATURE.  Sodomy and all acts that point toward sodomy are, by definition, OBSCENE.

Pornography is the depiction of obscenity.  Therefore, all depictions of same-sex “romantic” kissing, touching, even aggressive flirting are pornographic because they are depicting an obscenity.

This is why, after the war, there must be the re-establishment and enforcement of anti-obscenity laws which punish those who produce or traffic in sodomitical and otherwise obscene media.  Exposing people, especially children, to obscenity, desensitizes them to the horror of it, and once desensitized, there is no longer an internal drive to defend against it.

So, tell me.  Have YOU canceled your cable or satellite feed yet?  Or are you still paying the enemies of Christ to pump their agitporn into not only your home, but the homes of your neighbors and their children?

Let us end with the words of Our Lord to Saint Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Universal Church:

“They not only fail from resisting this frailty [of fallen human nature] . . . but do even worse as they commit the cursed sin against nature. Like the blind and stupid, having dimmed the light of their understanding, they do not recognize the disease and misery in which they find themselves. For this not only causes Me nausea, but displeases even the demons themselves, whom these miserable creatures have chosen as their lords. For Me, this sin against nature is so abominable that, for it alone, five cities were submersed, by virtue of the judgment of My Divine Justice, which could no longer bear them. . . . It is disagreeable to the demons, not because evil displeases them and they find pleasure in good, but because their nature is angelic and thus is repulsed upon seeing such an enormous sin being committed. It is true that it is the demon who hits the sinner with the poisoned arrow of lust, but when a man carries out such a sinful act, the demon leaves.”
–Saint Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Universal Church, quoting Our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Laboravi clamans…

1.)  I start writing, and while I certainly could comment on everything, I simply have no drive to do so.  I warned and warned, screamed and screamed.  It’s too late now.

I wrote a piece for AmericanThinker.com nearly four years ago titled, “We the Stupid”.  And people are STILL convinced, after all of this, that their government is legitimate, and that this can all be undone and fixed peacefully, through elections and the extant paradigm.  It can’t.  Someone told me just a few weeks ago that “there isn’t going to be any war, and you are crazy to think that there will be.”  And you know, he may be right.  War involves fighting.  At this point, I don’t think there will be any real resistance.  And I’m not just saying that as some sort of reverse psychology trick in order to get people riled up.  This culture, even the “good” part, is so far gone and so effeminate (more on this below), that it is incapable of even the most mild act of resistance or self-defense.

This is what I wrote four years ago.

Finally, I do not understand how it can possibly be that conservative writers are still addressing Obama as if he is actually trying to help the economy, but his well-intentioned policies are failing.

Obama is the enemy. Obama is a Marxist-Communist usurper and puppet front for a cabal of Marxist-Communists who are actively trying to destroy the United States of America. Everything they have done, are doing, and will do has the single goal of collapsing and destroying the U.S. economy, military, constitutional government and culture. What part of “Marxist Revolution” do you not understand?

The Obama regime is not a failure. The Obama regime is not incompetent. The Obama regime has achieved more in two and a half years than anyone could have possibly foreseen. It has debased the currency by 50% of the GDP and guaranteed that our economy will collapse. It has looted the Treasury for more than the size of a top-ten economy and embezzled that wealth into the hands of their fellow Marxists in preparation for the final collapse of the United States. It has ground the economy of the United States to a screeching halt. It has destabilized the entire Muslim world and ensured that there will be a nuclear war centered around Israel within the decade.

The Obama regime has no interest whatsoever in “stimulus” or “getting folks back to work.” How can you not understand this? How can we possibly win this war if we refuse to come to terms with the fact that we are, in fact, fighting a war?

God save the United States of America, because the people are far too stupid to do it themselves.

2.  I want to make a distinction between effeminacy and, for the sake of clarity, “swishing faggotry”.  Most men today are still, in fact, heterosexual.  But they are extremely effeminate.  Whilst being sexually oriented towards heteronormative acts (simply put, they “like girls”), their mode of being, of addressing the world, is almost completely feminized.  When confronted with a problem, their method of dealing with it is to first DENY THAT THE PROBLEM EXISTS.  Eyes down.  Look away.  DON’T TALK ABOUT IT.  Pretend nothing is wrong, and eventually the problem will either go away, fix itself, or someone else (namely “a man”), will solve the problem for us, out of sight, and then we won’t ever actually have to deal with it.  This is how females are generally wired, because women are physically weaker than men, and the best way for a woman to keep from getting raped and murdered is to AVOID combat situations in the first place.  This is what today’s post-Christian western man has been trained to do and be since infancy.

The other profoundly feminine mode of avoidance is something I observe on a near-daily basis.  It is the strategy that says, “Let’s wait to do anything until it is too late to do anything.  Then it won’t be our fault, because it will have been too late to do anything.”  This is such transparent cowardice, but oh, so attractive to the effeminized men of today.  It is painted not as the abject cowardice and impotence that it is, but rather as “prudence”.  It is now believed that the prudent man is not the man who discerns and does the right, but rather the man who does NOTHING.

I am reminded of Bonhoeffer’s quote: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

No, the hallmark gesture of today’s effeminized man is not the limp wrist and swishing hips of the “faggot”.  The hallmark gesture of today’s effeminized post-Christian western man is the SHRUGGING OF THE SHOULDERS.  Devoid of virility, devoid of potency, and at its core, devoid of CHARITY, today’s man, when confronted with evil, turns his head away to the side, shrugs his shoulders, and bleats out his twin mottoes:

THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT.

I DON’T CARE – IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM.

And so, many people look at the oligarch class, these nefarious characters infecting every corner of society, from the halls of academia, to the corporate boardrooms, to the halls of government, to the halls of the Church, and they see, generally, drooling imbeciles.  And they then think that surely these drooling imbeciles will do themselves in – all we need do is wait for them to trip over their own thingamajigs and beat themselves.  But that isn’t going to happen.  They will continue to roll.  They will continue to march down the field, because not only are we not mounting an effective defense – MUCH LESS any sort of counter-offense, WE AREN’T EVEN FIELDING A TEAM.

If two teams are playing, and one team is the “NFL Dream Team of All Time” and the other team is comprised of a blind, mentally retarded three year old, the blind, mentally retarded three year old, ALONE, can beat the NFL Dream Team of All Time IF the Dream Team never comes out of the locker room.  The blind, retarded three year old can literally run up and down the gridiron, scoring at will, so long as the Dream Team remains in the locker room, watching the blind, mentally retarded three year old cross the goal line time after time, shrugging their shoulders, declaring, “There’s nothing we can do about it.  Whatever.  It’s not my problem.”

And what is never shown on camera or discussed is the “coach” (satan) and “assistant coaches” (demons) on the sidelines, coaxing and calling the mentally retarded three year old down the field to uncontested score after uncontested score.

3.  Attende, Domine, et miserere, quia peccavimus tibi….

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

To Thee, highest King,
Redeemer of all,
do we lift up our eyes
in weeping:
Hear, O Christ, the prayers
of your servants.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

Right hand of the Father,
corner-stone,
way of salvation,
gate of heaven,
wash away our
stains of sin.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

We beseech Thee, God,
in Thy great majesty:
Hear our groans
with Thy holy ears:
calmly forgive
our crimes.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

To Thee we confess
our sins admitted
with a contrite heart
We reveal the things hidden:
By Thy kindness, O Redeemer,
overlook them.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.

The Innocent, seized,
not refusing to be led;
condemned by false witnesses
because of impious men
O Christ, keep safe those
whom Thou hast redeemed.

Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy, because we have sinned against Thee.
