Zay’ve gott eine kleine liszte, I’m on eine kleine liszte!

So, it’s official.  I have been declared “a danger to children” by none other than the government of Krautistan, er, I mean Der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, and thus added to an official government censorship list kept and maintained by the German government.  Apparently my great and terrible crime is “discrimination against groups of people”.  Well, no one can say the Hermanns aren’t the global authority on “discrimination against groups of people”, amirite?  So, it is also against German law to discriminate against, say, heterosexual, white, Catholic males with above-average I.Q.’s?  This Kommission für Jugendmedienschutz is pretty much the same thing as what the satanic Southern Poverty Law Center is doing, except the Germans are far enough along the road (back) to totalitarianism that their SPLC-equivalent is a bonafide government entity.

And also remember… it’s für die Kinder.

Now, I still have work to do, because the list that Barnhardt.biz has been added to is a voluntary list that people subscribe to… for now.  But, we all know that this kind of thing will become mandatory very shortly…für die Kinder. But they haven’t gone full-Argentinian-uncle-who-emigrated-to-Buenos Aires-in-early-1945… yet.

Obviously, it was morally incumbent upon me to post a video of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “I’ve Got a Little List” at the end of this post, but never in my wildest, wildest dreams could I have anticipated finding THIS gem, which is clearly the BEST version of “I’ve Got a Little List” ever performed.  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you “The Lord High Slapper Downer”.  Enjoy.

…she never would be missed. She never would be missed…
They’ve got her on The List….

Here is the full email exchange between SuperNerd and OpenDNS. The first message is at the bottom, the last message at the top.  Seriously folks, this should help give you an idea of what is coming soon to a theater near you.

Hello,

OpenDNS does not manage this list, but we do give our users the opportunity to block this particular category as it is a prerequisite for doing business in Germany. It is legitimate, and you will need to contact the Germany authorities to request to have it removed.

At this point I will be tentatively marking the ticket as solved, but if you have any further questions please feel free to reply to this email and it will re-open the discussion.

A quick Google search? Are you saying OpenDNS is using a list for blocking purposes about which you don’t have contact information? How can you even verify the block list in qustion originated with the Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien (yes, I know perfectly well how to use Google) and not some group of cultrual marxists pretending to be a respectable and authorized entity of the German government? This is why I asked YOU for contact information; as a professional and responsible organization you should be able to provide me with a streamlined means of contesting the absurd inculsion of my client’s site on this list.

Of course, if your web filtering scheme is more political than professional then I’ll just continue my inquest via Google.

Barnhardt Podcast #047: Go Not Softly Into the Darkness of Self

[Direct link to the MP3 file]

In this episode we plumb the depths of the darkness of the human soul, from soliciting sin in the confessional to shooting defenseless children to refusing to rush to the defense of those children when it’s your solemnly sworn job to do so. Ultimately, if we do not subject ourselves to the natural and Divine positive law we will be subjected by force under the boot of a diabolically inspired human tyrant. We cannot let our light shine forth to others until we kindle and feed the fire of Divine charity in our own souls first.

Billions of Dollars Embezzled and Laundered In the Vatican – Where Does It All Go?

Already down the memory hole of the 36-hour news cycle is reportage that Antipope Bergoglio is up to his filthy neck in massive money laundering and embezzlement in the Vatican.

Knock. Me. Over. With. A. Feather.

A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.

So, where can all of this money be going??

In no particular order:

-Cocaine and other drugs

-Prostitutes, almost all male, many under the age of 18

-Bribes, palm-greasing, hush money, protection money and payola, almost all in cash

-Private luxury chauffeured cars

-No-show salaried employment positions

-Real estate (with tenants ensconced rent-free, oftentimes sodomy/fornication partners)

-Airline tickets and accommodations

-Luxury meals and wine (Like HERE, for example)

-Antique furniture

-Remodeling projects / art and interior decor

-Offshore deposit and/or securities accounts

-Medical treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and proctological damage

That’s a very short beginning to the list.

Like I said, a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.

St. Peter Damian (far right) with St. Augustine, St. Anne and St. Elizabeth, Ercole de’ Roberti, ARSH 1481, Milan.

Today is the feast of St. Peter Damian, one of the truly great Doctors of the Church. Why? Why do I say that? Read these twelve quotes…

“Tell us, you unmanly and effeminate man, what do you seek in another male that you do not find in yourself?”

“For God’s sake, why do you damnable sodomites pursue the heights of ecclesiastical dignity with such fiery ambition?”

“By what right or by what law can one bind or loose the other when he is constrained by the bonds of evil deeds common to them both?”

“Who can expect the flock to prosper when its shepherd has sunk so deep into the bowels of the devil?”

“Who, by his lust, will consign a son whom he spiritually begotten for God to slavery under the iron law of Satanic tyranny?”

“This utterly diseased queen of Sodom renders him who obeys the laws of her tyranny infamous to men and odious to God.”

“Without fail, [the vice of sodomy] brings death to the body and destruction to the soul. It pollutes the flesh, extinguishes the light of the mind, expels the Holy Spirit from the temple of the human heart, and gives entrance to the devil, the stimulator of lust.”

”[The vice of sodomy] leads to error, totally removes truth from the deluded mind . . . It opens up Hell and closes the gates of Paradise.”

”[The vice of sodomy] is this vice that violates temperance, slays modesty, strangles chastity, and slaughters virginity.”

[The vice of sodomy] defiles all things, sullies all things, pollutes all things.”

“Who will make a mistress of a cleric, or a woman of a man?”

“It is not sinners, but the wicked who should despair; it is not the magnitude of one’s crime, but contempt of God that dashes one’s hopes.”

Collect of the Mass of St. Peter Damian:

O Almighty God, grant that we may follow the teaching and example of Your blessed confessor bishop Peter, and turn away from the things of earth that we may attain the joys of heaven.

St. Peter Damian, pray for us. Please.

Know Your Bible? “He Cared Not For the Things of Bel….”

Here is one of the best Bluegrass tunes ever, “Daniel Prayed” as performed by Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless and Carmella Ramsey.

Now, here’s a Bible quiz for you.  The first verse goes:

I heard about a man one day
He wasted not his time away
He prayed to God
Every morning noon and night
He cared not for the things of Bel
But trusted One who never fails
Oh, Daniel prayed
Every morning, noon and night

Who or what is “Bel”?  Well, if you are a modern Protestant, you probably don’t know, because the 14th chapter of the book of Daniel was torn out of the Bible by Luther and the revolters because… reasons. Now, you might be asking yourself, why does an old-school American Bluegrass song have a reference to something only found in complete, that is, Catholic Bibles?  Because up until the late 19th to early 20th century, all of the books and bits that Luther tore out of the Bible were included in most printed Protestant Bibles as an appendix, so people were still aware of things like the story of Daniel and Bel.  So, it really isn’t surprising that an American Protestant folk song like this would have a reference from Daniel 14.

So you have context, here is the story of Daniel and Bel, Daniel 14: 1-21.  Daniel was awesome.  Cool as a cucumber. Someone should make a movie about Daniel.  Seriously.

And Daniel was the king’s guest, and was honoured above all his friends. Now the Babylonians had an idol called Bel: and there were spent upon him every day twelve great measures of fine flour, and forty sheep, and sixty vessels of wine. The king also worshipped him, and went every day to adore him: but Daniel adored his God. And the king said to him: Why dost thou not adore Bel? And he answered, and said to him: Because I do not worship idols made with hands, but the living God, that created heaven and earth, and hath power over all flesh. And the king said to him: Doth not Bel seem to thee to be a living god? Seest thou not how much he eateth and drinketh every day?

Then Daniel smiled and said: O king, be not deceived: for this is but clay within, and brass without, neither hath he eaten at any time. And the king being angry called for his priests, and said to them: If you tell me not, who it is that eateth up these expenses, you shall die. But if you can shew that Bel eateth these things, Daniel shall die, because he hath blasphemed against Bel. And Daniel said to the king: Be it done according to thy word. Now the priests of Bel were seventy, besides their wives, and little ones, and children. And the king went with Daniel into the temple of Bel. And the priests of Bel said: Behold we go out: and do thou, O king, set on the meats, and make ready the wine, and shut the door fast, and seal it with thy own ring:

And when thou comest in the morning, if thou findest not that Bel hath eaten up all, we will suffer death, or else Daniel that hath lied against us. And they little regarded it, because they had made under the table a secret entrance, and they always came in by it, and consumed those things. So it came to pass after they were gone out, the king set the meats before Bel: and Daniel commanded his servants, and they brought ashes, and he sifted them all over the temple before the king: and going forth they shut the door, and having sealed it with the king’s ring, they departed. But the priests went in by night, according to their custom, with their wives and their children: and they ate and drank up all. And the king arose early in the morning, and Daniel with him.

And the king said: Are the seals whole, Daniel? And he answered: They are whole, O king. And as soon as he had opened the door, the king looked upon the table, and cried out with a loud voice: Great art thou, O Bel, and there is not any deceit with thee. And Daniel laughed: and he held the king that he should not go in: and he said: Behold the pavement, mark whose footsteps these are. And the king said: I see the footsteps of men, and women, and children. And the king was angry. Then he took the priests, and their wives, and their children: and they shewed him the private doors by which they came in, and consumed the things that were on the table.

The king therefore put them to death, and delivered Bel into the power of Daniel: who destroyed him, and his temple.

I heard about a man one day
He wasted not his time away
He prayed to God
Every morning noon and night
He cared not for the things of Bel
But trusted One who never fails
Oh, Daniel prayed
Every morning, noon and night

Oh Daniel served the Living God
While upon this earth he trod
He prayed to God every morning, noon and night
He cared not for the king’s decrees
But trusted God to set him free
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night

They locked him in the lions’ den
Because he would not honor men
But he prayed to God
Every morning, noon and night
The jaws were locked, it made him shout
And God soon brought him safely out
Oh Daniel prayed
Every morning, noon and night

Oh Daniel served the Living God
While upon this earth he trod
He prayed to God every morning, noon and night
He cared not for the king’s decrees
But trusted God to set him free
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night

Now brother let us watch and pray
Like Daniel did from day to day
He prayed to God
Every morning, noon and night
We too can gladly dare and do
And pray to God He’ll see us through
Oh, Daniel prayed
Every morning, noon and night

Oh Daniel served the Living God
While upon this earth he trod
He prayed to God every morning, noon and night
He cared not for the king’s decrees
But trusted God to set him free
Oh Daniel prayed every morning, noon and night.

On Servile Fear, Filial Fear and Meekness

The more one views this clip which I used in the post below, the more one sees.  If you haven’t already, do go view and read it so we are on the same page.  The clip is very instructive and clearly shows three concepts that most people are very, very fuzzy on.  The first is SERVILE FEAR.  Now notice at the 0:45 mark, the Father takes off his belt and puts it on the table as he declares “Now we’re not raising any sheep in this family, and I WILL WHUP YOUR ASS if you turn into a wolf.”  Were you taken aback at that?  Did that rub you the wrong way?  It probably did many of you.  Do you know why?  Because we have all been trained to hate and despise masculine strength and to consider as “evil” anything that inspires or elicits SERVILE FEAR. In short, we have been inculcated to believe the lie that ALL SERVILE FEAR IS BAD.

Do you see in the video clip how the boys are startled and wide-eyed with SERVILE FEAR of their father when he makes it perfectly clear that THERE WILL BE SWIFT, SEVERE CONSEQUENCES for bad behavior – both the weakness of “the sheep”, and ESPECIALLY the evil of “the Wolves”, which will call down an ass-whupping?  This is a good and beautiful thing to see.  This is the Father DOING HIS JOB. The father is STRONG and POTENT.  The father WILL PUNISH bad behavior. The boys know this, understand this, and RESPECT THIS.  The boys recognize the strength and AUTHORITY of their father.  The boys have a very healthy and good SERVILE FEAR of their Father.

Now, look again at the 0:52-0:55 mark.  This is actually really cool.  This is where the mother simply says her husband’s name: “Wayne….”

What we see here is a wife calling her husband to MEEKNESS. “Meek” is one of the most mistakenly-defined words in the English language.  If you stopped 100 average Americans on the street and asked them what the word “meek” meant, I think north of 95 of them would say “weak” or something similar.  This is 100% incorrect.  MEEKNESS is POWER UNDER CONTROL.

Look at the video clip.  That is EXACTLY what we see.  The wife, complimentary helpmate to her husband, with just the utterance of her husband’s name calls him to MEEKNESS – that is, to keep his power, his strength UNDER CONTROL, and you can see the father physically check and contain his potency without losing or reducing it in any way. In fact, his meekness only augments and points up his strength and potency.  Absolutely beautiful.

Finally, we see in the eyes of both of the boys the love and respect they have for their father, and their desire to be good in his eyes, to make him proud, to be good for his sake.  Note how even while the boys just a few seconds before jumped in servile fear of their father, they continue to look him dead in the eye, and look him in the eye when they answer his questions.  The younger son answers his father with a genuinely respectful, “Yessir”, and then the older son answers his father with a nod, looking him dead in the eye.  This is filial fear.  Because their father is a strong man, a meek man, and a highly moral man, they boys respect him and thus LOVE HIM, and do not want to disappoint him because to disappoint him would hurt him deeply, and they know it, and can’t stand the thought of letting him down.

Is it any wonder that masculinity, potency, virility, fatherhood, and the headship of the domestic church held by the husband and father has been and continues to be under such ruthless, relentless attack? The only thing “toxic” in today’s male culture is EFFEMINACY and MORAL IMPOTENCY.

If you would like to read more about these concepts as they apply to our relationship with God, might I recommend “THE ONE ABOUT… FEAR OF THE LORD“.

I hope this helps.

“Did you finish it?” (Nods silently in the affirmative)

(Here is what I fear.  At my Particular Judgment, I fear Christ looking at me – nay, THROUGH me, and saying, “Did you finish it?”  The lad in this clip can look his father in the eye and nod silently in the affirmative. Will I be able to? That which I COULD finish, did I finish? Will I finish?

It is good to read history and know context.  No question. There is no debating that.  HOWEVER there comes a certain point – and we are LONG, LONG past that point – wherein a man must stop procrastinating and dodging by endlessly discussing “who started it”, and JUST FINISH IT. When you are walking down the street and you see a group of thugs roughing up an old woman, you don’t need each person’s full biographical history in order to act, and to research and endlessly discuss each person’s backstory in that moment instead of FINISHING IT is a sin against the virtue of courage.)

Father: There are three types of people in this world:  Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs. Now, some people prefer to believe that evil doesn’t exist in the world, and if it ever darkened their doorstep, they wouldn’t know how to protect themselves. Those are the sheep.  And then you’ve got predators.  They use violence to prey on the weak – they’re the wolves.  And then there are those who have been blessed with the gift of aggression and the overpowering need to protect the flock.  These men are the rare breed, that live to confront the wolf. They are the sheepdog. Now we’re not raising any sheep in this family, and I WILL WHUP YOUR ASS if you turn into a wolf – but we protect our own. Now if someone tries to fight you, or tries to bully your little brother, you have my permission to finish it.

Elder Son: The guy was picking on Jeff.

Father: Is that true?

Younger Son, Jeff: Yessir. Yes he was.

Father: Did you finish it?

(Elder Son nods silently in the affirmative)

Father: Well then, you know who you are.  You know your purpose.

Overshadowing Shoulders

Overshadowing Shoulders (Christ on The Cross, detail, Guido Reni)

Today is the First Sunday of Lent, and the following verse from Psalm 90 appears three separate times; first in the Tract, then as the Offertory verse, and finally as the Communion verse.

“The Lord will overshadow thee with His shoulders, and under His wings thou shalt trust: His truth shall compass thee with a shield.”  Psalm 90: 4-5

Read the medical description of death by crucifixion below, and then ponder the words, “The Lord will overshadow thee with His shoulders.”

[This is a paraphrase of a summary of an ARSH 1965 article on crucifixion by Dr. C. Truman Davis entitled, “The Anatomical And Physiological Details Of Death By Crucifixion”, originally published in Arizona Medicine.  Since it is widely reproduced on the internet, I have taken the liberty of cleaning up a few things, and correcting scripture citations.  Additions of my prose are in red brackets.]

Crucifixion is the most painful death ever invented by man and is where we get our term “excruciating.”  It was reserved primarily for the most vicious of male criminals.  Our Lord refused the anesthetic wine which was offered to Him by the Roman soldiers in keeping with His promise recorded in Matthew 26: 29, “And I say to you, I will not drink from henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall drink it with you new in the kingdom of My Father.”  Our Lord was stripped naked [This is very important. The depictions of Our Lord with His loincloth intact on the Cross are for the sake of modesty, particularly for women and children.  He was naked.  The humiliation of being hung naked with no way of covering one’s self was in integral part of the humiliation of crucifixion.  Our Blessed Lord spared Himself nothing – the agony of His Passion was maximal.] and His clothing divided by the Roman guards. This was in fulfillment of Psalm 21:19, “They parted My garments amongst them; and upon My vesture they cast lots.”  The Crucifixion of Jesus guaranteed a horrific, slow, painful death.

Having been nailed the Cross, Our Lord now had an impossible anatomical position to maintain.  Jesus’ knees were flexed at about 45 degrees, and He was forced to bear His weight with the muscles of His thigh, which is not an anatomical position which is possible to maintain for more than a few minutes without severe cramp in the muscles of the thigh and calf.  Our Lord’s weight was borne on His feet, with nails driven through them.  As the strength of the muscles of Our Blessed Lord’s lower limbs tired, the weight of His body had to be transferred to His wrists, His arms, and His shoulders.  Within a few minutes of being placed on the Cross, Our Lord’s shoulders were dislocated.  Minutes later His elbows and wrists became dislocated.  The result of these upper limb dislocations was that His arms were 9 inches longer than normal, as clearly shown on the Shroud of Turin.  In addition, prophecy was thus fulfilled in Psalm 21:15, “I am poured out like water; and all my bones are scattered.”

After Our Lord’s wrists, elbows, and shoulders were dislocated, the weight of His body on his upper limbs caused traction forces on the Pectoralis Major muscles of His chest wall.  These traction forces caused His rib cage to be pulled upwards and outwards, in a most unnatural state. His chest wall was permanently in a position of maximal respiratory inspiration. In order to exhale, Jesus had to push down on the nails in His feet to raise His body, and allow His rib cage to move downwards and inwards to expire air from His lungs.  His lungs were in a resting position of constant maximum inspiration. Crucifixion is a medical catastrophe.  The problem was that Our Blessed Lord could not easily push down on the nails in His feet because the muscles of His legs, bent at 45 degrees, were extremely fatigued, in severe cramp, and in an anatomically compromised position.

Despite what is shown in all Hollywood movies about the Crucifixion, the victim was extremely active.  A crucified victim was physiologically forced to move up and down the cross, a distance of about 12 inches, in order to breathe.  The process of respiration caused excruciating pain, mixed with the absolute terror of asphyxiation.  As the six hours of the Crucifixion wore on, Our Lord was less and less able to bear His weight on His legs, as His thigh and calf muscles became increasingly exhausted. [And bear in mind that He had already been scourged until most of His skin was gone, was thus in deep shock, and was then made to march approximately two kilometers while carrying His own Cross.  While fully human, Our Lord’s strength during His Passion was unfathomable.]

There was increasing dislocation of His wrists, elbows and shoulders, and further elevation of His chest wall, making His breathing more and more difficult.  Within minutes of crucifixion Our Lord became severely dyspnoeic (short of breath).  His movements up and down the Cross to breathe caused excruciating pain in His wrists, His feet, and His dislocated elbows and shoulders.  The movements became less frequent as Our Blessed Lord became increasingly exhausted, but the terror of imminent death by asphyxiation forced Him to continue in His efforts to breathe [because His suffering had to be maximal – He had to give us absolutely all of His love].

Our Sweet Lord’s lower limb muscles developed excruciating cramping from the effort of pushing down on His legs, to raise His body, so that He could exhale, in their anatomically compromised position.  The pain from His two shattered median nerves in His wrists exploded with every movement.  Our Lord was covered in His Precious Blood and sweat.  The blood was a result of the Scourging that nearly killed Him, and the sweat as a result of His violent efforts to expire air from His lungs.

Throughout all this He was completely naked, and the leaders of the Jews, the Romans, the crowds, and the bad thief crucified beside Him were jeering, swearing and laughing at Him.  In addition, Our Lord’s own Blessed Mother was watching this, united to His suffering.

Physiologically, Our Lord’s body was undergoing a series of catastrophic and terminal events.  Because Jesus could not maintain adequate ventilation of His lungs, He was now in a state of hypoventilation (inadequate ventilation).  His blood oxygen level began to fall, and He developed Hypoxia (low blood oxygen).  In addition, because of His restricted respiratory movements, His blood carbon dioxide (CO2) level began to rise, a condition known as Hypercapnia.  This rising CO2 level stimulated His heart to beat faster in order to increase the delivery of oxygen, and the removal of CO2.  The Respiratory Center in Our Lord’s brain sent urgent messages to his lungs to breathe faster, and Our Lord began to pant.  Jesus’ physiological reflexes demanded that He take deeper breaths, and He involuntarily moved up and down the Cross much faster, despite the excruciating pain.

The agonizing movements spontaneously started several times a minute, to the delight of the crowd who jeered Him, the Roman soldiers, and the Sanhedrin.  However, due to the nailing of Our Precious Lord to the Cross and His increasing exhaustion, He was unable to provide more oxygen to His oxygen-starved body.  The twin forces of Hypoxia (too little oxygen) and Hypercapnia (too much CO2) caused His heart to beat faster and faster, and Our Lord developed Tachycardia.  His Sacred Heart beat faster and faster, and His pulse rate was probably about 220 beats/ minute, the maximum normally sustainable.  Jesus had drunk nothing for 15 hours, since 6 pm the previous evening.

Our Lord had endured a scourging which nearly killed Him.  He was bleeding from all over His body following the Scourging, the crown of thorns, the nails in His wrists and feet, and the lacerations following His beatings and falls.  Jesus was already extremely dehydrated, and His blood pressure fell alarmingly.  His blood pressure was probably about 80/50.  He was in First Degree Shock, with Hypovolaemia (low blood volume), Tachycardia (excessively fast Heart Rate), Tachypnoea (excessively fast Respiratory Rate), and Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).  Sometime after noon Our Lord’s Sacred Heart probably began to physically fail.  Jesus’ lungs probably began to fill up with Pulmonary Oedema.  This only served to exacerbate His breathing, which was already severely compromised.  Jesus was in Heart Failure and Respiratory Failure.  Jesus said, “I thirst” [partly] because His body was crying out for fluids [but also because He was thirsting for souls – both to love them and to be loved by them].  Our Lord was in desperate need of an intravenous infusion of blood and plasma.  He could not breathe properly and was slowly suffocating to death.  At this stage Our Lord probably developed a Haemopericardium: plasma and blood gathered in the space around His Sacred Heart, called the Pericardium.  This fluid around His Sacred Heart caused Cardiac Tamponade (fluid around His Sacred Heart, which prevented it from beating properly).  Because of the increasing physiological demands on Jesus’ Sacred Heart, and the advanced state of Haemopericardium, He may have eventually sustained Cardiac Rupture. His Sacred Heart may have literally burst [before being pierced by the lance of Longinus]. Heart failure was probably the [ultimate physical] cause of His death, [while our sins are the true cause of His suffering and death].

When the Romans wanted to expedite death they would simply break the legs of the victim, causing the victim to suffocate in a matter of minutes. This was called Crucifragrum.  At three o’clock in the afternoon Our Lord said, “It is consummated.”  At that moment, He gave up His Spirit, and He died.  When the soldiers came to Our Lord to break His legs, He was already dead. Not a bone of His Body was broken, in fulfillment of the prophecy in Exodus 12: 46.  Our Precious Lord thus died on the Cross after six hours of the most excruciating and terrifying torture ever invented, after enduring torture in the twelve hours prior to His crucifixion which, by itself, would have been sufficient to kill any other man.
