People often ask if it is “ok” to also pray the “Luminous” Mysteries that were introduced by John Paul II.  The answer is, sure, as long as you also pray The Rosary. The Rosary, as given to St. Dominic by the Mother of God herself, is certainly not lacking nor incomplete in any way, and is comprised of 150 Hail Marys precisely because there are 150 Psalms, and thus it also acts as proxy for the Psalter. The notion that everything must be “updated”, “changed” and “improved” is an incredibly unhealthy and dangerous mindset.
