Dear Ann,
I very much enjoyed your post on sweet, nostalgic memories. I agree that we need to create new memories for our children and grandchildren to treasure. Even in this crazy world, we can create beautiful spaces, customs and memories in our families. This is, in my opinion, why it is so important for a lady to stay home and be a homemaker, a house wife.
As ladies, we have the privilege to stay inside the cloister of our homes and create a little bit of Heaven on earth. If you dedicate your heart and soul to this, you will create a retreat where your husband and children can take refuge from the hostilities of the world they encounter around them. Even our adult children look forward to joining us on our back porch or in front of a warm fire to enjoy family and make more nostalgic memories.
I would like to send you a link to another story similar to the one you shared. This one is about the Christmas House in Oak Grove, Minnesota.
The Bourbeau’s are now a traditional Catholic family. Their grandson, Fr. John Bourbeau is a priest with the SSPX. He has been a friend for years. I thought you might enjoy this sweet news piece about his grandparents.
God bless you!
Mrs.
