I learned to say this and mean it a long time ago.  It has been a tremendous help and consolation in times of suffering, insomuch as I can be said to have suffered. I highly, highly recommend it.  It is Mark 12 and Matthew 21 (which was today’s Gospel reading – Friday in the Second Week of Lent) wherein Christ quotes David, inspired by the Holy Ghost in Psalm 117: 23:

This is the Lord’s doing: and it is wonderful in our eyes. 
A Domino factum est istud, et est mirabile in oculis nostris.

Mary, Mother of Divine Providence, pray for us.

Christ, have mercy on us.
