Regarding those "tech glitches"…

From a clever reader:

“Regarding the tech “glitches”… they all seem to be connected to router issues. If built correctly (a big assumption in a lot of large enterprises) the loss of multiple routers should only slow traffic, not stop it. The internet itself — Internet Protocol — was based on the concept of dynamic re-routing of traffic. You probably know this: the internet was the result of DOD project to build a communications network that can survive near-complete destruction resulting from a massive nuclear exchange. The key to making it work is the network’s ability to detect missing/damaged routes and network segments and intelligently find an alternate route. In the late days of Operation Desert Storm the old Unix geeks and hackers (they of the long, silver pony tails) went ballistic with joy because their invention got its first real-world test: we had bombed, smashed, sliced, and eviscerated over 80% of the Iraqi communications interconnects and infrastructure but command and control messages were still getting through from Baghdad to Basra… albeit through strange routes that took the traffic through Syria, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and even AT&T’s data networks before terminating at the intended end point. Traffic was delayed up to a few seconds but the messages got through.

So how does one router going down at United bring its network to its knees…. and was that an American-made Cisco or Brocade or HP or Juniper router or a Chinese made Huawei router?

You’re right… those who should care can’t understand, and those who understand already know.”

The one about… How Justice Demands Inequality

(Originally penned and posted on June 25, ARSH 2010.  I have updated this to reflect the fact that  Pope Francis is a militant Marxist.  All updated/added text in red.)

As we have discussed earlier, the Marxist-Obamaists-NewFrancisChurchers are trying to overtake and manipulate the Church and the broad culture (some would say they already have) by using the term “Social Justice”. According to them, social justice involves EQUALITY. Equality of income, equality in housing, equality in lending, etc.

This is classic “Big Lie” tactics, hatched by the father of lies himself, satan. By co-opting the word “equal” from the Declaration of Independence, satan has spun this whole notion of equality as classic American morality. How could you possibly be against EQUALITY? The only people who are against EQUALITY are bigots and racists and evil, greedy, selfish people. America stands for equality! How can you be against justice? Justice is the American way! JUSTICE IS EQUALITY!

We have to be able to smack down these lies, and do it decisively. I’ll bet that most of you reading this right now for the first time couldn’t come back at some Marxist-Obamaist-NewFrancisChurcher freak that was screaming these things in your face and calling you a racist. Well, I’m here to help. This can be answered in THREE words:

Justice demands INEQUALITY.

Justice is the application of different outcomes based upon individual choice and/or performance.

If we both take a calculus exam and you are smart (or a hard worker) and score 92 out of 100 and I am stupid (or lazy) and score 40 out of 100, should we both get the same grade? Should we both get A’s? Should we both get F’s? Should we split the difference and both get C’s? NO. You should get an A, and I should get an F. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based on different performance.

Two men are tried for rape and murder. One man has DNA evidence linking him to the crime along with surveillance camera footage showing him committing the crime. The second man happened upon the scene and was an innocent bystander. Both the DNA and the video surveillance prove this. Should both men be convicted and imprisoned for life? Should both men go free? Should both men get a light sentence? NO. The guilty man should be imprisoned. The innocent man should go free. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based on different choices.

One person is a devout Catholic who has lived an imperfect life, yet endeavored to remain free of sin, received the sacraments frequently, always loved God deeply and trusted Him and His Mercy. This person dies in a state of friendship with Christ. Another person is an atheist who has lived a life of debauchery, cruelty, deception and violence. This person rejects God completely and dies in a state of prideful hatred of God and complete self-absorption. Should both enter heaven? Should both be cast into hell? Should both be merely snuffed out of existence? NO. The first person has chosen heaven. The second person has chosen hell. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based upon free choice and performance. This is the manifestation of God’s perfect love.

All men are CREATED equal. But God’s love made manifest in His perfect justice demands that all men be free to choose and thus experience and reap UNEQUAL outcomes. The Marxist-Communist-Obamaist-NewFrancisChurch lie is that a government of men can create a “utopia”, or heaven on earth, in which ALL MEN reap heaven regardless of their choices or performance. The reality is that the Marxist-Communist-Obamaists-NewFrancisChurchers can only deliver HELL ON EARTH, which is indeed suffered equally by the proletariat, while a purely material “faux-heaven” is reserved exclusively for the ruling class.

Don’t be afriad to proclaim that you stand for INEQUALITY. Don’t allow yourself to be bullied by ANYONE into believing the Big Lie that total equality persists BEYOND creation, most especially by CLERGY, even The Pope Himself. We are the Church Militant, and we must therefore FIGHT and stand boldly against all false teaching and Marxism in the Church and in the secular world. Evil is afoot in the House of the Lord and in our land. Stand firm and hold the line. If you don’t, no one else will.

"There is no bid. There. Is. No. Bid."

So the Chinese stock market is collapsing and has gone no-bid and is being shut down, prices on the street in Greece are already being quoted in Drachma, and now the NYSE has gone no bid, and it is being blamed on a tech glitch.  Riiiiiight.  United Airlines, the Wall Street Journal and ZeroHedge all had simultaneous “tech glitches” too.

Ask not for whom the Black Swan honks.  It honks for thee.

Here is the full version of my Economics Presentation from ARSH 2012, and I have it keyed to begin at the 2:09:40 mark, where I discussed how the markets would go no bid when the black swan event happened, and thus the urgency of getting out before that happened.

If you didn’t get out of the markets I simply cannot feel sorry for you.

Comment of the Year.

This from VanderLeun’s AmericanDigest.org, a comment under a quote-post of mine from the CRM Interview Part 3.

Dude, whoever you are, thank you.  Just thank you.

It’s Stockholm Syndrome. The “nice” people war-game what resistance to The Left would mean, conclude they wouldn’t like what might happen, so they sit down and wait for magic or someone else to stop the decline. The Left hasn’t just taken over the country, we’ve fled the battlefield AND given them our minds as well. Their media is unwatched, yet we multiply it’s reach by studiously monitoring every second of it, and trumpeting it to our side.

The Left demands X, and we invent some rule that happens to mean in this case X might be the outcome. There is no rule, there never was a rule. The Left makes demands and we just surrender and mask that surrender with some self-invented rule. No matter how many times we “discover” the rule must not be what we thought, because that would dictate Y, we still keep referring to some rule that ought to bind The Left. The Left isn’t advancing any rule or bound by any rule, other than They Win.

We argue about rules, extrapolate the rule into the future, see future bad consequences from the rule, and think we’ve done something. The Left is personally and deliberately gunning for you. You won’t find a place to hide, you won’t be left alone. You won’t moderate such they don’t think you are a threat. You are a threat simply by being here and no amount of fairness, preemptive explanations about peace, love, and understanding will spare you the treatment they give to their worst opponents. The people The Left have targeted in the past weren’t targeted because of some excess measure of opposition to Leftism, but because of ANY opposition to Leftism. The Lukewarm Republicans, in D.C. and in Mayberry, are helping The Left destroy this country and as long as you believe you or someone else can stop The Left with clever tactics in moderate ways you are giving aid and comfort to those that surrender to every fight with The Left. You get no credit for being the first or last to rush to condemn some Republican politician. You will get no credit for being the first or last person to have an opinion on the Confederate flag. You will get no credit for welcoming or blocking illegals inside the country. If you are 1% less Leftists than Party Secretary Obama, you will be treated as if you were Party Secretary Obama’s sworn mortal enemy. You are/will be targeted by The Left no matter what so you might as well fight back and take some of them out before you’re gone.

Being “the last Jew to understand where the cattle cars are headed” isn’t something to be proud about.

This maps onto the Church as well.  Listen remnant Priests and Religious.  They hate you because you exist.  They hate you because you believe.  They are coming for you no matter what.  There is nothing you can do to sufficiently moderate and appease them, and there is no earthly authority that you can appeal to, because the Pope is one of them.  If you don’t believe me, just read this:

“And in the family—of this we are all witnesses—miracles are done with what there is, with whom we are, with what one has at hand… and many times, it’s not the ideal thing, it’s not what we dream of, not even ‘what it should be.’ There is a detail that ought to make us think: the new wine, that wine so good that the steward refers to in the wedding at Cana, comes forth (literally: ‘is born of’, a Spanish way of saying) the jugs of purification, that is to say, the place where everybody had left their sin… It comes from (literally again: ‘is born of’) the ‘very worst’ because from ‘whence there came abundant sin, much more abundant was the grace’ (Rom 5:20). And in the family of each one of us and in the common family we all form a part of, nothing is discarded, nothing is useless. Soon before the beginning of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the Church will celebrate the Ordinary Synod dedicated to the families, in order to mature (or ripen) a true spiritual discernment, and to find solutions and concrete assistance to the many difficulties and important challenges that the family today must face. I invite you all to intensify your prayer for this intention, so that even for that which seems to us to be impure, like the water in the jugs, or scandalize or frighten us, God—making it go through his ‘hour’—can transform it into a miracle. The family today needs of this miracle.”  –Pope Francis the Inventor of Mercy, yesterday

Like Lions Breathing Out Fire

I have embarked on a week-long interview series with Patrick Archbold over at CreativeMinorityReport.com.  Part 1 is now up.

I am reminded of this quote from St. John Chrysostom’s Homily 46:

“Let us, then, come back from that (Eucharistic) Table like lions breathing out fire, thus becoming terrifying to the devil, and remaining mindful of our Head and of the love which He has shown for us.”

The one about… Teaching on Civil Disobedience and Sedition from a Pope who wasn't a Marxist, Modernist Imbecile

That would be Pope Leo XIII. Here are some choice excerpts from his Encyclical SPAIENTIAE CHRISTIANAE – On Christians as Citizens, from January ARSH 1890, which was recently brought to my attention. And boy, did it ever get my attention.

HERE IS THE LINK TO THE FULL DOCUMENT, which I cannot recommend strongly enough. If you can, print it out and take a highlighter to it. You might run out of highlighter ink before you get through it. Every paragraph is a manful, crystal-clear tour de force. Read this, and then compare it to the nebulous, wishy-washy, clear-as-mud Marxist, Modernist rhetoric we get today. When you read Leo XIII you comprehend EXACTLY what he is saying immediately. Bam. Pow. Here it is. Take it or leave it. 2+2=4. Period.

I can’t resist posting these excerpts, because he is speaking directly to us. “Relevant” doesn’t begin to do it justice. All emphases are mine.

From paragraph 2, (confirming) my position that the United States no longer actually exists as a licit state:

…if, in administering public affairs, it [government] is wont to put God aside, and show no solicitude for the upholding of moral law, it deflects woefully from its right course and from the injunctions of nature; nor should it be accounted as a society or a community of men, but only as the deceitful imitation or appearance of a society.

From paragraph 4, (confirming) my position that people are responsible for both their government and for their knowledge (or lack thereof) of the faith – especially in this day and age wherein the sum of human knowledge is available instantly on the internet, to which you all obviously have access:

Considering that forthwith upon salvation being brought out for mankind, Jesus Christ laid upon His Apostles the injunction to “preach the Gospel to every creature,” He imposed, it is evident, upon all men the duty of learning thoroughly and believing what they were taught. This duty is intimately bound up with the gaining of eternal salvation: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned.”

From paragraph 5, shooting down the false premise so commonly held today that “Render unto Caesar” implies equality of the state, or even a supremacy of the state over God and His Holy Church with regards to loyalty and earthly submission:

We are bound, then, to love dearly the country whence we have received the means of enjoyment this mortal life affords, but we have a much more urgent obligation to love, with ardent love, the Church to which we owe the life of the soul, a life that will endure forever. For fitting it is to prefer the good of the soul to the well-being of the body, inasmuch as duties toward God are of a far more hallowed character than those toward men.

From paragraphs 6, 7 and 8 speaking directly to right action when a state is in open conflict with God:

For, instances occur where the State seems to require from men as subjects one thing, and religion, from men as Christians, quite another; and this in reality without any other ground, than that the rulers of the State either hold the sacred power of the Church of no account, or endeavor to subject it to their own will. Hence arises a conflict, and an occasion, through such conflict, of virtue being put to the proof. The two powers are confronted and urge their behests in a contrary sense; to obey both is wholly impossible. No man can serve two masters, for to please the one amounts to contemning the other.

7. As to which should be preferred no one ought to balance for an instant. It is a high crime indeed to withdraw allegiance from God in order to please men, an act of consummate wickedness to break the laws of Jesus Christ, in order to yield obedience to earthly rulers, or, under pretext of keeping the civil law, to ignore the rights of the Church; “we ought to obey God rather than men.” This answer, which of old Peter and the other Apostles were used to give the civil authorities who enjoined unrighteous things, we must, in like circumstances, give always and without hesitation. No better citizen is there, whether in time of peace or war, than the Christian who is mindful of his duty; but such a one should be ready to suffer all things, even death itself, rather than abandon the cause of God or of the Church.

8. Hence, they who blame, and call by the name of sedition, this steadfastness of attitude in the choice of duty have not rightly apprehended the force and nature of true law.

From paragraph 10 on the positive duty of civil disobedience and the false charge of sedition:

But, if the laws of the State are manifestly at variance with the divine law, containing enactments hurtful to the Church, or conveying injunctions adverse to the duties imposed by religion, or if they violate in the person of the supreme Pontiff the authority of Jesus Christ, then, truly, to resist becomes a positive duty, to obey, a crime; a crime, moreover, combined with misdemeanor against the State itself, inasmuch as every offense leveled against religion is also a sin against the State. Here anew it becomes evident how unjust is the reproach of sedition; for the obedience due to rulers and legislators is not refused, but there is a deviation from their will in those precepts only which they have no power to enjoin. Commands that are issued adversely to the honor due to God, and hence are beyond the scope of justice, must be looked upon as anything rather than laws. You are fully aware, venerable brothers, that this is the very contention of the Apostle St. Paul, who, in writing to Titus, after reminding Christians that they are “to be subject to princes and powers, and to obey at a word,” at once adds: “And to be ready to every good work.” Thereby he openly declares that, if laws of men contain injunctions contrary to the eternal law of God, it is right not to obey them.

And, for those who send me hate mail telling me that I have no right or authority to say, well, anything about anything (mostly cuckoo-pants sedevacantists who hate me because I don’t want to round up and murder every person on the planet with Jewish DNA), here ya go from paragraph 14:

But, when necessity compels, not those only who are invested with power of rule are bound to safeguard the integrity of faith, but, as St. Thomas maintains: “Each one is under obligation to show forth his faith, either to instruct and encourage others of the faithful, or to repel the attacks of unbelievers.” To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe. In both cases such mode of behaving is base and is insulting to God, and both are incompatible with the salvation of mankind. This kind of conduct is profitable only to the enemies of the faith, for nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good….Nor is there any ground for alleging that Jesus Christ, the Guardian and Champion of the Church, needs not in any manner the help of men. Power certainly is not wanting to Him, but in His loving kindness He would assign to us a share in obtaining and applying the fruits of salvation procured through His grace.

And then paragraph 16:

No one, however, must entertain the notion that private individuals are prevented from taking some active part in this duty of teaching, especially those on whom God has bestowed gifts of mind with the strong wish of rendering themselves useful. These, so often as circumstances demand, may take upon themselves, not, indeed, the office of the pastor, but the task of communicating to others what they have themselves received, becoming, as it were, living echoes of their masters in the faith. Such co-operation on the part of the laity has seemed to the Fathers of the [First] Vatican Council so opportune and fruitful of good that they thought well to invite it. “All faithful Christians, but those chiefly who are in a prominent position, or engaged in teaching, we entreat, by the compassion of Jesus Christ, and enjoin by the authority of the same God and Saviour, that they bring aid to ward off and eliminate these errors from holy Church, and contribute their zealous help in spreading abroad the light of undefiled faith.” Let each one, therefore, bear in mind that he both can and should, so far as may be, preach the Catholic faith by the authority of his example, and by open and constant profession of the obligations it imposes. In respect, consequently, to the duties that bind us to God and the Church, it should be borne earnestly in mind that in propagating Christian truth and warding off errors the zeal of the laity should, as far as possible, be brought actively into play.

There’s more. Just go read it and bask in the radiance of manful, intransigent faith manifested in supremely coherent and understandable prose. Sigh.
